Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus, was brought up by Tish Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her siblings in Thompson's Station in Tennessee. Five siblings are hers - two half-brothers, one half-sister, and two younger siblings. Her name was chosen by her parents since they wanted her to succeed in her career. Miley is her childhood nickname Smiley. This was because of her cheerful personality. Her father, a Democrat political figure, Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandparents. Cyrus began her studies at Heritage Elementary School located in Tennessee. Her family relocated from Tennessee to Toronto Canada in the year she turned eight years old. Billy Ray Cyrus took on an appearance in Doc (2001) as a lead on in the TV show. In the same year, Cyrus also decided to become an actor. Her first performance was alongside her dad in Doc (2001). Additionally, she had a role in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus played in Hannah Montana (2006) (a Disney show that follows a teenager woman with a dual life singing) as the main character. Her father also starred alongside her. It became an instant success that soon sold out tours were announced as well as deals for merchandise. Cyrus was a teenage superstar. Cyrus changed roles after the success and the fame in Hannah Montana 2006. She played Ronnie Miller, alongside Demi Mood in The Last Song in 2010 and Lola alongside Demi in LOL in 2012.
